STEVEN S. GOODMAN Certified Public Accountant

Steven S. Goodman, Certified Public Accountant is the managing director of The Goodman CPA Group PLLC. Prior to his association with the firm, he was with the international accounting firms of Ernst & Whinney and Peat Marwick, and was the tax manager at Norton Simon, Inc., A Fortune 100 Company. His experience at these organizations gave him a broad backround in the taxation and auditing of domestic, foreign and international entertainers, partnerships and corporations.

He is a former professor of taxation and accounting at Brooklyn College, and has lectured extensively for many professional and trade organizations including the Foundation for Accounting Education (FAE) and the New York University tax program (NYU).

Mr. Goodman has written several articles for The CPA Journal. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York and New Jersey State Societies of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Goodman is also a member of and the Health Care Committee of the New Jersey State Society of Certified Public Accountants. His memberships also include the International Association for Financial Planning, National Association of Estate Planning Councils, Estate Planning Council of New York City and the Accountants Club of America. Mr. Goodman is Co-chairperson of the FAE’S Tax Planning for Individuals Conference and it’s Tax Planning for High Net Worth Clients Conference. He was a member and served on the Advisory Board of the New York University Tax Group, and was a member of the New York University Advanced Study. He previously served on the Sports and Entertainment, the Estate Tax and Cooperation with Financial Media Committees of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is currently chairman of the Taxation of Individuals Committee for the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Mr. Goodman has extensive experience in dealing with the legal community in matters that include evaluation of buy/sell agreements, forensic accounting, structural evaluations, litigation support and matrimonial issues.

Mr. Goodman has extensive business management and taxation experience with High Net Worth Individuals and is also an Accredited Estate Planner. He is also one of the leading accountants and consultants to the Health Care profession. Mr. Goodman also represents clients in the Sports & Entertainment, Real Estate, Legal and other Professional Practices, and Closely Held Businesses.
